Rocks & Stones is a catalogue published by a number of foundations on the occasion of two exhibitions of the same name, featuring the works of several artists, and includes one of Chip Hooper’s photographs, “Solitary Rock”, 1994. The first exhibition was at Forum Eugenio de Almeida, Evora, Portugal, January 10-March 30, 2003 and the second at Photographic Archives of the City of Lisbon, Lisbon, Portugal, April 10-May 24, 2003. The catalogue includes writings by Eduardo Pereira Da Silva and Jorge Calado. Some of the other artists in the exhibit and catalogue include Ansel Adams, Bill Brandt, Jeff Brouws, Paul Caponigro, Wiiliam Clift, Imogen Cunningham, Walker Evans, Fay Godwin, Kenro Izu, Michael Kenna, Richard Misrach, Edward Weston, and Minor White.
